The Ghost town in knott's Berry Farm opened in 1940 to entertain guests at Mrs. Knott's chicken restaurant. As the area grew, the amusement business out paced the restaurant. Today, Knott's Berry Farm is home to nearly 40 rides. What makes Knott's important to wax museum history are the detailed scenes found throughout the Ghost Town. These peek-in buildings show idealized recreations of life in the old west. From Sad Eyed Joe in Jail, to the Chinese laundry, detailed figures span the park. These characters can also be found inside attractions such as the Calico Mine, and Timber Mountain Log Ride.
